As a native Austinite, Mary Ellen Schmidt knows the Austin and Central Texas areas she serves like the back of her hand. With over 25 years of experience with American Home Shield, she enthusiastically shares her regional knowledge, as well as her industry expertise, to help real estate partners and homeowners achieve their dreams. "I love that we have the opportunity to help people every day!" she says.
A member of the Austin Board of REALTORS and the Williamson County Association of REALTORS, Mary Ellen is a past Austin Board of RELATORS Affiliate of the Year recipient. As a MCE licensed instructor, she teaches Home Warranty Mandatory Continuing Education Classes at local Boards and Real Estate offices.
Family is a big priority for Mary Ellen. "I am blessed to have both parents living close by, and I have the best mother-in-law in the world" she says. "My husband, Pete, is amazing. He makes it possible for me to do the work I love. We have two sons who are our blessings. Walker attends Baylor and Cooper is in middle school."
Mary Ellen calls herself the head cheerleader for family activities and she also enjoys the outdoors, travel and golf. Her home is a popular gathering place for family and friends as she and Pete enjoy cooking and entertaining for all. She also is a cheerleader for her coworkers; "Our Texas team is the best and we have the very best AEA Support Team!!!"
