Serving the areas of Northern Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma
Lindsay Padilla's background prepared her well for understanding all aspects of home warranties and the value they provide. Lindsay managed all maintenance and repairs for the towers of a major cell phone carrier, including 911 emergency and remote towers. Lindsay explained, "This experience taught me the service and contractor management side of repairs. Additionally, I managed an investment company and maintained inventory of 75 residential properties. This entailed buying, renovating and maintaining the properties in preparation to sell or lease. To do this, I used independent contractors and American Home Shield to help manage costs of the larger repairs such as HVAC, hot water tanks and appliances."
Today, Lindsay serves real estate professionals and homeowners in Northwest Arkansas and East Oklahoma. She's been in the Tulsa, OK area for 23 years. Lindsay is an affiliate member of the Women's Council of REALTORS, the Greater Tulsa Association of REALTORS and the Northwest Arkansas Board of REALTORS. Accredited in continuing education for the state of Oklahoma, she teaches a continuing education class on home warranties for GTAR and a quarterly first-time homebuyer home warranty class for the City of Tulsa.
Named the 2013 Affiliate of the Year for the Great Tulsa Association of REALTORS, Lindsay thoroughly enjoys her job at AHS. "I recently took a survey called '14 Telling Signs That You Love Your Job,' she says. "My survey results said, 'You are deeply, madly in love with your job (and your friends are jealous).' This sounds about right to me! I truly love American Home Shield and am proud to be called a member of their '2013 Best in Class' sales team."
Lindsay, known as Linz to her friends, says that her hobbies are reading anything and everything, as well as remaking, reusing, and refinishing furniture. "I have been married for 23 years to Robert, an aviation mechanic," she says. "We have two daughters. Gabrielle, 21, a junior on full scholarship at the University of Missouri Music Conservatory in Kansas City and Sofia, 18, who is also on scholarship at Oklahoma University who is earning her degree in music and English in hopes of writing music down the road. Music is our family connection. From classical to rock to blues, we love it all.
One of Lindsay's biggest influences was her father. "My father was a world record holder in swimming and went on to coach several gold, silver and bronze medal Olympians," she says. "His greatest gift to me was teaching me how to coach others (and sometimes myself) to achieve success."
